Oh my... I just updated again my journal today after a very long time. Although I sometimes open and lurk around DeviantArt when I have a chance.
It's really a shame on my part that I have a premium membership but I can't make most out of it unlike others who doesn't have a premium membership but they use and update their DeviantArt accounts frequently. *facepalm*
I'm always busy because of work. I really blaming my work for this inactivity, working in the hospitality industry is really hard especially when it comes to shifting schedules and dealing with everyday work-related stress. To be honest, I'm really getting tired talking with different people over the phone especially to those irate ones which really made me think of lots of times to quit work. But despite of that, after more than a year working, I'm still here in the same company that I started working with (those that I mentioned earlier are only challenges). During my rest days, all I do is sleep, sleep, and sleep. I really miss having so much free time (drawing, going to anime and cosplay conventions, watch anime online, read manga, etc.), but I need to deal with real life situations first than anything else.
I'll just summarize all the things that happened to me for these past months within this journal entry:
[ First ] Last May (May 5 - 11, 2012), I went on a vacation with my boyfriend and colleague. It is the first vacation for me (and for them I think) for this year 2012. We went to Clark, Pampanga, and we stayed overnight there. After that, we went to Hong Kong and we stayed for a day. The following day after, we went to Macau and stayed for three nights. After those three nights in Macau, we went back to Manila. From there, my colleague separated ways from us and we (me and my boyfriend) enjoyed our last day of vacation together.
It is been a while since I last went out of the country so I was so excited to go abroad again. The last time when I was out of the country was when I stayed for more than six months in Singapore (which I almost treat as my second home) in year 2010 for my on-the-job training.
We took lots of pictures within our trip. I got thousands of pictures on my camera only (maybe because of the capacity of the memory card that I had), my companions have also pictures on their cameras too.
[ Second ] Last June (June 16, 2012), I went to the second day of ToyCon 2012 event. I roamed around the event venue for almost around 30 minutes, then I sat near the stage after to rest. I stayed there for a long time while waiting for my boyfriend to come. Most of the photos I took are photos from the stage and not within the other parts of the event venue itself. When my boyfriend came, that's the time that I roamed around again the venue. I wasn't able to buy any merchandise from the event because I was broke at that time. After that, we ate at a restaurant within SM MegaMall, which is Orchard Road. Me and my boyfriend missed eating Singaporean food so we decided to eat there for dinner. That time served also as our date to celebrate our 8th month together as a couple.
My boyfriend is not really into attending events like ToyCon before so it was his first time to went on a event like that. But then, I'm glad that he enjoyed it (especially seeing lots of different toys). He is not into cosplaying like me (but I attended as a regular con-goer that day), but then he enjoyed seeing the cosplayers within the venue especially the Red Hawk (from Chōjin Sentai Jetman) cosplayer. He is actually a big fan of the series (it's one of my fave sentai series too).
[ Third ] Last August, it was my 22nd birthday... I was so busy working and I just celebrated it with my boyfriend days after it.
I wasn't able to attend anime/cosplay events after ToyCon, I really wanted to attend Fantasy Quest last August (as a birthday present for myself), but wasn't able to attend because of work again (as always). *sigh*
Despite of those heavy monsoon rains and storms last month, I was still able to come to work. I'm really thankful that I maintained my perfect attendance at work until now. By the end of this year, I really hope that I can still maintain perfect attendance at work.
Now, I'm set to attend Cosplay Mania 2012 by the end of the month with my boyfriend. I already bought my full access passes for the two days of the event for me and my boyfriend. I'm also thankful that I got the premium pass tickets for Reika and Kaname. I'm supposed to buy my boyfriend tickets too but I was broke, plus I'm the only one who really wants to meet them not him (I need to give chance also to others like me who really want to meet those two cosplayers). I'm also planning to attend Best of Anime 2012 event too, because I want to watch 宇宙戦隊 Noiz (Uchuu Sentai Noiz) on the event. It's a rare opportunity to see a Japanese band singing to stage here in the Philippines.
I'm not sure if I'm still going to cosplay, I need to budget my salary for my daily needs. Maybe I'll go as a regular con-goer again (and as a random photographer LOL). Although I have lots of cosplay plans in the future... I really wanted to cosplay Kuronuma Sawako someday together with my boyfriend cosplaying as Kazehaya Shouta (both are from Kimi ni Todoke series). I recommended my boyfriend to watch that series and he loves it too as much as I love it. Also, our love story is somehow like theirs.
I don't have enough time to edit and upload all of my photos here, sorry that I can't post them for now. Maybe I'll update this journal entry with photos or create a new one next time.
